The IOC launches it's L2/L3 Programs!

After long hours of hard work at the O Club, BJ and I are finally able to announce, the long awaited, much anticipated, IOC Costuming Achievement Award Program.

(cue applause)

Say Again?
What is this you ask? Like most costumes in the Legion, the IOC CRL's have 3 levels of approval:

L1 - this is the basic, 501st standards. The minimum you need to achieve 501st membership.

L2 - these are meant to be a step above 501st base standards on the accuracy scale. Analogous to the MEPD Police Officer and FISD Expert Infantryman programs.

L3 - these are intended to be the best of the best in IOC standards, much like the MEPD S.W.A.T. and FISD Centurion awards.

Why are we doing this?
These are, at their core, awards to recognize an achievement in IOC costuming. These standards are 100% entirely optional and are not required for 501st membership, nor do they entitle you to any special consideration aside from a neat award on your profile.

The secondary objectives are to raise awareness of what the costume standards are within the Legion, and allow a clear path for those who want to take their IOC costumes to the next level a way to do so.

For IOC the the L2 award will now be known as Executor, and the L3 award will now be known as Imperator.

Each award will be noted by a special ribbon and unlike S.W.A.T. or Centurion, one can hold multiple Executor awards, one for each costume category on IOC.

WinterG - the newly appointed Minister of Propaganda - is putting the final touches on the awards and we will start posting what these look like soon enough.

We've created a new section of the forum called The Promotion Board to answer any questions regarding these programs, discuss the standards, and also to allow people to request Executor and Imperator status. Just like on MEPD & FISD, all reviews will be posted for all to see and maintained in the open area for posterity.

Mark (captsafe66) is IOC's new Deployment Officer and his solid reputation for integrity and eye for detail will ensure that all applications are reviewed fairly.

Look for more updates in the coming weeks as we add more support to this forum to enhance the visibility of this program.

Bonus!
Are you aware that the CRL's were updated and are nearly complete? You can review them at http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:IOC_CRL. A few more photos and we're all done except for the Grand Moffs and Nyna Calixte. Look for those to be done soon as well!
